3ENG5 has been on a six day visit to London 1st – 6th of April. Four young ladies and a teacher did as much as we could in as short a time as possible, and here are some of the things we saw and did.

The Tower of London We went to the Tower of London twice during our stay. Since we applied we got to come inside the tower to watch the Ceremony of the Keys for free. :D The ceremony has taking place at the tower since the 14th century. The Yeoman Warders know everything worth knowing about the tower, and tell it to you with a touch of humor, so it becomes much easier to remember the facts. We also went to the tower to watch the Crown Jewels.
Shakespeare’s globe Shakespeare’s globe is a complete imitation of the globe from Shakespeare’s time. Our guide talked about Shakespeare and the theatre itself, and it was much more exciting than expected. We learned a lot in a short time.
The Houses of Parliament We saw the oldest part of the Parliament, The King’s High Table exhibition, and got an impression of the size of the Parliament.
St. Paul’s Cathedral The Cathedral is fantastic, the mosaic and paintings are beautiful. We were at the golden gallery, 85 metres from the Cathedral Floor, and 434 steps up.
Camden Market You really get to experience a lot of different people. It was one of the funniest things we did on the trip, and we even had to go back on our last day. The market had a lot of cheap shops and was a clash of different cultures. We will rock you (musical) We went to watch the musical “We will rock you” based on the music by the English rock group Queen, which was absolutely fantastic. Goosebumps.

When we left London on our last day it was snowing!
